I’ve found that clicking on the green ‘+’ button in the upper left hand corner of a window does not appear to have the same effect as on a PC. On the PC, doing so causes that window to go to full screen. On the Mac, it appears to only increase the window to the biggest size it needs to be, but does not go ‘full screen’ . Is there an easy way of quickly maximizing a window to use the whole page ? Its like reading a magazine article by opening it 1/4 open ? Or just pealed a corner at a time of a newspaper article instead of opening the whole page? . I cant have full focus on a particular thing i am doing ( like coding , surfing , text editing ) without having the window full sized. May be it is because i just came from windows world but Generally people need focus to what they are doing but in Mac how this can be achieved without having the active window full size.

Windows Delete

I generally tend to delete any item which i actually want to delete ( not to move to Trash ) by pressing key combinations Shift+Delete key in windows . But in Mac i dont find such shortcut key to permanently delete any item  . Although the shortcut key for delete in Mac is Command+Backspace , this moves the item to Trash and doesn’t permanently delete it. In Windows deleting an item ( moving to trash ) is a single key press thing ( Press Delete key ) to do the same job in Mac you have to press two key combinations ;-) . Continue reading »

The Site macphobia.com launched on 15th July . For a month or so the site was accessible with parked page showing countdown timer for the launch date . MacPhobia doesn’t like Apple Mac as much as it likes Windows but it doesn’t hate Macs , rather it likes the user interface ( clean and solid ) of Mac which is why the site MacPhobia.com is hugely inspired from Mac OSX theme . This can be reflected from the site’s theme as well. The theme this site uses is iTheme for WordPress . It has clean look and also has a Mac like Dock at the bottom . the Script for the Dock is taken from here and its hugely customized. I have written a plugin for WordPress to have such Dock at the bottom of any WordPress blog which will be released later .
