What do you do to Open new Tab in Safari . Well most of us use Shortcut key combination Command + T . Or some of us use the File menu and select new Tab menu item . But today i found a third way to open a new Tab in Safari .
You can double click or right click and select New Tab on the Empty Tab bar and it opens a new tab . I didn’t know this . Today i randomly found it.

Well there is one more very simple and minute reason i should be unhappy while using Mac ( being come from Windows world ). Its been more than half year i have been using Mac in my home computing use but still i am not used to its some of the behavior. This particular reason i dont like Mac is related to the Mac’s Window Full screen issue. Most of the Mac application dont go full screen to fit the monitor width but some of them do. For example i have used Adobe Photoshop which takes whole screen width while clicking Green Maximize control button . Similarly Adobe Reader and Default Mail app also behaves same. The problem i liked to mention here is even if the application window goes full screen to take the whole window width they are movable or draggable . Whats the logic behind this Apple ? Why the hell we want to move the application windows after it has taken entire screen width. We dont want to see the part of application window by moving it . The windows in this scenario should be fixed to the screen as long as user doesn’t click Green maximize button.

Well my favorite browser is Firefox but in Mac i prefer Safari to Firefox. But i noticed a small usability low in Safari today which irritates me much these day after i actually discovered it. What happens is when i search something using the Google Search bar built in the Safari and i open a new tab i lose the search string i just used.
Seems the Search string remains in the Google bar only to that tab and is not shared in the Safari windows over all the tabs. People may find it good because they may ask why the hell do you want to search using the same search string which you just performed search with. But in my case i do quite a lot of search modifying my search string and keeping the previous Google search result saved in an open tab . In this scenario i am not pretty happy with this behavior of Safari. And this is not the case when using Firefox .Firefox keeps the search string in Google search box saved for all the tabs until its replaced by other Search string. May be this is the reason i find it irritating in Safari because i am too used to with Firefox in my Windows machine at work

Have you ever noticed the Finder’s toolbar has some kind of mistake ( i think so ). The finder toolbar has Back/Forward button , View buttons, Quick Look, Action and a search box by default. One interesting thing i am not comfortable with is that why is the Back/Forward button labeled “Back” only . If it was to be labeled “Back” there should have been only Back Button and not the Forward button
. Do you think its some kind of negligence or something which is not much thought of when designed ? .

I was navigating through the Apple india site ( apple.co.in ) for some support information . The main page of the site has JavaScript errors ( hello apple ! ) . That didn’t bother me much but i tried searching for info from the search field at the top right part of the homepage . The Ajax enabledsearch result are not displayed as drop down box as i type which happens in Apple global site. And yes the most importantly anything you search will result into a blank page . How weird.
