For some unknown reason i cant see Thesaurus and Dictionary tabs in Mac leopard’s inbuilt Dictionary App.  Somehow i dont have the libraries for them . And i am searching for a good English to English third party Dictionary program ( Application in Mac language ) in the Internet . I am not able to find just one. What the heck. Do people using mac have just one taste of dictionary or are they too much satisfied with Apple’s inbuilt Dictionary app in Mac Leopard . And yes Dictionary application in Leopard doesn’t have Pronunciation with Sound right ?  How can you Apple Mac users be satisfied with this inbuilt dictionary app with no pronunciation sound feature . May be Apple Mac is made for English speaking countries and assuming nobody needs sound pronunciation .Damn its not easy to switch to Mac from Windows and there is no need to switch may be ;-)

Windows Virtual Drive

I have been using Virtual CD/DVD mount tool like Alcohol , Daemon Tools in my windows machine to mount any CD/DVD disk image especially for games play. But in mac i couldn’t find such Virtual drive creator tool . In Fact in mac disk mounting can be done from Mac’s ( OS X ) inbuilt disk utility . The disk utility mounts files like .iso but today i came across a file which needed disk mounting . The file name was .bin and the associated file to mount was having .cue extension . The file actually is from VTC online tutorial series CD . Finally i managed to mount the .cue file and read the content inside .bin file with the help of Toast Titanium software in Mac . I love Firefox . The addons have changed the way i surf the internet with firefox . I totally enjoyed Firefox in the windows world . But in Mac i am not using Firefox . A very minute reason is the mouse cursor change while loading any webpage . I am very much irritated with such behavior of Mac mouse pointer while surfing in Firefox . Continue reading »

Click to ZoomWIndows Explorer supports FTP . I can directly type FTP address , authenticate myself and browse my remote server in a similar way i browse my local drives and folders . Even Windows Internet Explorer ( inbuilt internet browser ) supports it . But where is the similar feature in Mac . Continue reading »
