For some unknown reason i cant see Thesaurus and Dictionary tabs in Mac leopard’s inbuilt Dictionary App. Somehow i dont have the libraries for them . And i am searching for a good English to English third party Dictionary program ( Application in Mac language ) in the Internet . I am not able to find just one. What the heck. Do people using mac have just one taste of dictionary or are they too much satisfied with Apple’s inbuilt Dictionary app in Mac Leopard . And yes Dictionary application in Leopard doesn’t have Pronunciation with Sound right ? How can you Apple Mac users be satisfied with this inbuilt dictionary app with no pronunciation sound feature . May be Apple Mac is made for English speaking countries and assuming nobody needs sound pronunciation .Damn its not easy to switch to Mac from Windows and there is no need to switch may be
The best i have found in this regard is Installing Translate It . Since Translate It doesn’t have its inbuilt English-English dictionary libraries . I had to download XDXF dictionary databases and add those to Translate It Library . This way i am able to use Dictionary feature in my mac of course with the help of third party App Translate It.

Hm.. That’s strange, I have Dictionary, Thesaurus, and some more I got Japanese inside my Dictionary application. Maybe you’ve done something wrong that scares the content of your Dictionary away?

You can use mac dictionary kit to convert Stardict format dictionaries to be used in Dictionary. I did this for my wife’s macbook and it works perfect!

@Terry i tried converting the XDXF dictionaries from DictUnifier . Conversion was successful but Dictionary application said the converted dictionary was in incompatible format …
