Being a Windows user i have used Alt-Ctrl-Del key combinations many times whenever the OS or any program goes not responding. This is actually my last resort in windows. But where is such key combination in Mac. Well i realised that there is similar application call “Activity Monitor” in Utilities folder on Mac Applications . At first look i liked this tool called Activity Monitor .
In case i have a screen stuck with a not responding program , i could always use Command-Space combination and search for activity monitor then i can force quit any non responsive program. Still this tool is not exactly comparable to windows Task manager ( which needs three keys combination and Activity Monitor cant be open with any such three key combinations ) . So there is similar three key combination thing that also exists in Mac which is Command-Option-Esc . It will show up a small menu screen but not as detailed as Windows Task manager .

There are other ways to quit an non responding program in Mac like right clicking ( or left clicking and holding ) on the program icon at dock and clicking quit . Also from apple icon in the top menu we can force quit an application . But where is the Shut down option in Mac from “Force quit” menu or the Activity Monitor like we have in windows Task manager.
Oh but where is shutdown/restart option in Windows task manager in Windows Vista . I can only see Log off option that too in Users Tab.

And by the way below is the video of creator of Alt+Ctrl+Del - Dave Bradley .
